Two different things to measure
Wiring and airborne are separate problems.
Most confusion in EMF comes from using the wrong meter. A plug-in meter reads what is on your electrical circuits. A handheld reads what is in the air. They answer different questions.
On the wiring
Dirty electricity and line noise travelling your circuits. Measured with a plug-in meter at an outlet, in millivolts.
In the air
Magnetic and electric fields plus RF from routers, phones, and towers. Measured with a handheld meter you walk through the space.

How to use one
A reading is only useful with a baseline.
Read the room before anything changes
Walk the spaces you spend the most time in — bedroom, office, wherever you sit for hours. Write the numbers down.
Read again after
After a filter, a unit on the panel, or moving a router, take the same readings in the same spots. The difference is the answer.
One reading, one spot
A single number tells you almost nothing. EMF varies by room, by circuit, and by what is switched on at the time.
Wrong meter for the question
A plug-in meter will not read RF from a router, and a handheld will not read what is on your wiring. Match the meter to the problem.
Honest position
We would rather you measured than guessed.
A meter is the cheapest thing on this site and the only product that can tell you that you do not need the others. That is deliberate. Buy the meter first.
